IRISH-AMERICAN DINING

ONION AND DRIED CODFISH
Our first menu item comes from an angry description of an omnibus in New York in 1859 and the Irishman who are smelly food while riding.

POTATO CANDY
The original version was made with potato, newer versions are made to resemble potato, and I don't know which seems weirder.

THE EMERALD SALAD
Actually a bunch of salads, all of them compulsively green and made for St. Patrick's Day

APPLE MARY
It's just an apple, yes, but there is an Irish immigrant story connected to it.

MULLIGAN STEW
An Irish-influenced mix of anything at all, favored by soldiers, printers, and tramps.

WHISKEY TOMATO SOUP
Likely invented a Kieran's in Minneapolis, it's a creamy tomato soup with a nice amount of Jameson added in at the end.

POTATO CASSEROLE
What could be more Irish-American than taking a potato and making it into a hotdish?
